CATCH UP

Whoops, forgot to write on this for a while.

We made a mix for Flashback Records ahead of our instore there

Then back in August we did a BBC 6 Music session for Marc Riley, which isn't on listen back anymore, but at various stages looked like this -

After that we played Andrew Mïlk's BIRTHDAY CRISIS at the Total Refreshment Centre

And then with Juan Wauters (no poster/photographic evidence)

That pretty much brings us up to date...

SLOWCOACHES 7" LAUNCH

Your favourite "soft-centered tough guy types" will be playing some "glum-rock" for you at the launch of Slowcoaches  new 7" EP Thinkers, coming out on Icecapades. Our love for Heather, Matty and Neil knows no bounds, and we are honoured to be supporting them as they release their new-born out into the world. Also playing are Feature, who will make you feel alright and/or consider the embodiment paradigm. There will be some special guests too. Surprises are great are they not?

Listen to a track off Thinkers here, and direct your eyes to the excellent poster for the launch show, made by Neil Zealand.

ATP / FAIR OHS

We're looking forward to supporting Fair Ohs on the last date of their upcoming UK tour. The show is being put on by All Tomorrow's Parties and will be happening at The Lexington on the 18th of June. You can get tickets here. Also playing are Wings*, who we haven't played with since their first show at Kristina Records, good times all round!

Check out the new Fair Ohs video, and see if you can spot an Omi getting off on being a bad guy.

LANGDON OLGAR ISSUE TWO

The second issue of LANGDON OLGAR - a zine by HollabackLDN! made with the aim 'to put the issue of street harassment in context with text and visuals on a variety of related issues.' - is available now:

"Issue two includes visual and written work on the subject of gender, sexism and the body in public space.  This issue takes a smaller yet thicker appearance, sitting somewhere between zine, journal and artist’s book in form. It includes work from interested parties across the gender spectrum – Tavi Gevinson, Jen Calleja, Barbara Hammer, Jes Skolnik, Judy Berman, R.M Phoenix and many others, as well as art and writing from the editors themselves, and design and layout by Jamie Reid. It is staple-bound, full colour, and was professionally risograph printed by our friends at Ditto Press."

BRITISH HEART FOUNDATION FUNDRAISER

Echo Lake have asked us to support them at the shack on the 25th of October. Not only is it a killer bill, but all profits will be given to the British Heart Foundation. Our thoughts remain with Echo Lake following their tragic loss earlier this year, and we are honoured and humbled to have been invited to be a part of this show.

GOOD OSCILLATIONS LAUNCH

A huge thank you to everyone who came down to the launch of our label, Good Oscillations, and who partied in celebration for our first release, a five song cassette by Areca Grove. Thanks to Weird Menace and Areca Grove for tearing it up, not to mention Paradise Vendors Inc and Kristina Records for playing some seriously killer records throughout the night. Photos by all-round good guy Sean Carpenter.

BRAVE WORDS

Good evening readers,

April Clare Welsh has put together a zine documenting all our favourite New Zealand bands from 1980-95.  BRAVE WORDS is viewable online, or can be purchased in paper form in four delectable pastel colours – green, blue, pink and lilac - for £2 by emailing aprilclarewelsh@gmail.com

Full details can be found on April's blog, and needless to say the zine comes with the full OMI P seal of approval.

PARADISE VENDORS SPLIT 7"

We're happy to announce that we have a new song coming out on a Paradise Vendors 4-way UK/OZ split 7".

Also featured on the split are old friends SAUNA YOUTH, and two awesome bands from down under, THE STEVENS and FULL UGLY.

You can pre-order the 7" from here, or better yet, come down to the launch party on Friday 6th of July at The Victoria in Dalston. OP and SY will both be playing, and Paradise Vendors are looking into hologram costings for the Australians.

You can listen to our song off the 7" rite here:

SPRING TOUR

A little while ago, Dignan Porch got in touch with us and offered take us under their wing for a week or so. Thanks to them, this month we'll be hitting the road to go 'round the UK. I have a feeling some real strong friendships are gonna be forged.

Also, prior to that, we got a couple more London shows. We're playing with Weird Dreams and Fear Of Men at The Others in Stoke Newington. It's the Weird Dreams album launch, so it should be a real party. Then a few days after we're heading south to New Cross to play with Advert at The Amersham Arms.
